Recognised as the first purpose-built space for fighting Bulls in the world, the Ronda Bullring is considered the most picturesque. The Real Maestranza was founded by the local nobility in 1572. Two hundred years later the bullring, built at the end of the 18th Century, was opened in the centre of the romantic town of Ronda. The mountainscape of the Serriana de Ronda provides a hugely dramatic backdrop.
